Gulimina Mahamuti will perform at “Music at the Bauhaus” concert Tuesday, April 9th at 7:30 at Bowdoin.

Dr. Gulimina Mahamuti, president-elect of the MaineMTA, will be performing as the guest pianist at the “Music at the Bauhaus” concert on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 7:30 pm at Tillotson Room of the Gibson Hall at Bowdoin College. She will be performing Selections from Six Piano Pieces (1920-1929) by Stefan Wolpe (1902-1972) and accompanying for the vocal selections from Marienleben by Paul Hindemith (1895-1963). Gulimina Mahamuti, a Chinese-American pianist, performed at Harvard as a student, debuted major works at Carnegie Hall in New York, and performed in Canada, Denmark, Turkey (auspices of the Turkish State Conservatory of Music), Hungary (invited by the Turkish Ambassador to Hungary), and across the US and China, broadcasting on their national radio/TV programs. She performed piano concerti with the Southeast Kansas Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, and Harbin Symphony Orchestra and was featured on the radio in San Francisco, Queens College/CUNY podcast, China Touch Radio, and Istanbul Technical University Radio.
