Outdoor Music Celebration
The 4th Annual Outdoor Music Celebration is scheduled for June 1, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Fort Allen Park in Portland. Students of our Southern Maine Music Teachers Association members sign up to perform oceanside under the gazebo at Fort Allen Park.
Audience members bring lawn chairs and enjoy the outside spring air while being serenaded by students performing a variety of solo and duet music. If your studio participated in the 2024 Piano Monster Festival, your students will already have lots of music ready to share! If your student needs a duet partner, coordinate with another studio.
This event is free and open to the public. Rain Date will be June 8, 2024.
How to Signup Your Students
SMMTA teachers can sign up their students by contacting Alice Peterson at alicejpeterson@yahoo.com. Each student will be signed up within a half hour segment. Your students can be scattered throughout the day. If you prefer them scheduled together, sign up soon because the performance slots fill up fast.
Teachers will announce their students and what they are playing. If you will not be present when a student is going to play, please provide the information to Alice so that someone else can introduce them.
