Pine Tree Music Competition
The next biennial Pine Tree Music Competition (PTMC) will be held in May, 2025.
The Pine Tree Music Competition is a biennial event organized for piano and string students of MaineMTA members. It is a state level event that is designed to encourage Maine students to work toward their highest potential by recognizing and rewarding their excellence in musical performance.
In 2023, a non-competitive Virtual Evaluation Program was added for those students who want to work toward a goal but who may not be ready or willing to participate in a competition. Students send video recordings to receive comments from PTMC adjudicators hired during that year.
