MTNA Quad State Conference

Every other year, the four New England state music teacher associations affiliated with MTNA (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont) collaborate to hold a quad state conference on a Saturday in the fall. These conferences offer continuing education and networking opportunities for MTNA members (and interested non-members). They include premier performances of newly commissioned works by composers participating in the MTNA Commissioned Composer Program per state.

Most often, one speaker of national reputation is chosen by the hosting state to present a full day of sessions of interest to private music educators. The lunch hour serves as catch-up time with valued colleagues and is followed by brief individual state MTA meetings of those in attendance.

Sometimes there is an additional performance late in the day. Each unique conference is an opportunity to learn new ideas, gain inspiration and reconnect with a wider network of colleagues.

This biennial conference is planned and hosted by a different state MTA in rotation. The next MTNA Quad State Conference will be hosted by the New Hampshire Music Teachers Association in the fall of 2025.

Specific information about the day’s schedule and how to register will be posted here in the summer of 2025.
